Agent Orange Record Website
Agent Orange Record is a project of the War Legacies Project (WLP), a not-for-profit organization that works to address the long-term health, environmental and socio-economic impacts of war. WLP’s executive director has been working on the Agent Orange/dioxin issue for more than a decade and found that there was no website that combined all aspects of this very complex and controversial issue in one place. Many of the websites addressing this issue contained outdated or inaccurate information or focused on only one aspect of the story.
Project 13 was brought in to design and help develop a site that would remedy this situation by providing, in an objective way, the complete story of this tragic toxic legacy of the Vietnam War as it has impacted the United States, Vietnam, and other areas of the world.
Our primary tasks: Turn an overwhelming amount of information into an inviting user experience that is well organized and easy to navigate. Create a way for users to share additional information and resources about Agent Orange and related topics. Develop a powerful and user friendly content management system that allows information to be easily expanded and updated by it's executive director.
The site was received with overwhelming praise and has become a vital tool in helping provide information about the ongoing health and environmental impacts of Agent Orange and other dioxin-contaminated herbicides used during the Vietnam war and in other areas of the world. This information will help educate and inform the public policy community, academics, students and scientists, veterans, spouses and children of veterans, non-governmental organizations and foundations, and the general public world wide.
