The DVD collection for the first two volumes of Gerald McBoing Boing is no exception. With the DVDs bringing together the two sides of the lovable Gerald McBoing Boing – Volume 1 focuses on adventure episodes while Volume 2 features fairytale episodes – the cover art had to reflect this difference while maintaining a consistent line look. We achieved this balance by keeping Gerald at a similar size and position on each package, but mixing up his costumes and backgrounds.

The detailed and playful packaging reflects the energy of the show, which was featured on the Cartoon Network, and based on the story by Dr. Seuss. As a bonus, the packaging included the book inspired by the original Gerald McBoing Boing film, which took home the 1950 Academy Award for Best Animated Short. The fun look and clear messaging of the DVD package created a strong shelf presence, which helped the set do very well in sales.
